More Photoshop Fun!

This is my BFF, Tami Duggan, isn't she adorable?? I love this picture of her, but I didn't like how the detail of her dress was completely lost...
...so I fixed it!
I love how this came out!

Dandelion Wishes

Scanned journal page:

Plus iPhone pic:

Plus a new app:

Plus photoshop:
How cute is that little face? He said he never wants to be a grown up because he's worried it will mean he doesn't love me as much as he does right now. That's my kiddo! I want to figure out how to use these digital pages in my regular journal. I think. Or maybe it's better to have these digital pages? I don't know yet.

Hybrid art?

In digital scrapbooking, they consider it "hybrid" if you print what you've made. This is the reverse of that, I guess. Here is a journal page that I sprayed and painted and scanned:

And I trimmed it a little and then put on the tree and the bird and tried to find a quote that fit "flying" or "dawn" because I had it in my head that these are the colors of dawn, even though they're more sunset, but none of them were great. Then I found this one:
Just in case anyone out there doesn't already know, my friend Suzi Blu is coming to Minnesota. She's staying with Kelly for the summer and we're going to look for a house for us to live in. People keep telling both of us that it's not a good idea, that living with friends is bad, and blah, blah, blah. But I think people have these thoughts because they don't know how to be themselves around other people. My mom won't get the mail (which is in a box at the end of her driveway) without putting lipstick on. Some people don't have what I would consider "real" friends. After I had Liam, my friend Shanti did my laundry. She did dishes, went to the grocery store, watched him so I could run errands. Not to mention she was IN the delivery room with me. If you don't have a friend who would watch you squeeze a person into the world, then wash your stinky socks and stuff them in your dresser for you, that makes me sad. Maybe I have more amazing friends than my share.

Photo Restoration

This was a lab for one of my classes. It's NOT my image, I got it right here. My teacher was impressed, which surprised me. He taught us how to do this, then he was surprised that I could? Either way, I'm pretty proud of it. I used to do similar stuff when I worked in a one-hour photo lab, so I had some experience, but still, it was nice when my teacher turned and stared and me and said "You did this tonight?"
The sepia tone isn't exactly right, the original picture is slightly more orangey, but I think it looks pretty good!

A teeny tiny change

This was completely surprising to me. Maybe the whole world knows this already? If so, how come no one told me?? This is the mom from my Angry Banana animation (I got an A, by the way, AND my teacher showed it at the end-of-quarter showcase - the ONLY one he showed) and here she is looking happy:

And here, angry:

So, anyone who is familiar with photoshop can see the background. This is a digitally drawn figure, I made her in Flash, so when I tell you that the top one and the bottom one are the EXACT same one, I don't mean I redrew her the same way or made a copy somehow - it is LITERALLY the EXACT same face except in one she has angry eyebrows and in the other she doesn't. That is the ONLY thing I changed. I'm the one who did it and I can still hardly believe it. Is this amazing or am I just crazy? (Wait - don't answer that...)
